The XSelect-D4 organizes up to 5 D-Terminal or component (YPBPR) units, featuring Component, D4 and VGA inputs, as well as D4 and VGA outputs. The high-end unit comes with some extra functions like image format conversion from/to D to RGB/21 or VGA.

If you own a lot high-end AV equipment it's not very difficult to run out of input sockets at your TV or other AV devices. That's exactly where the XSELECT D4 can help out. Considering the high-end quality of Micomsoft products and the uniqueness of the unit, the price of US$ 189 (19800 Yen in Japan) is very attractive.

In addition to the selector function, the unit also converts various image formats automatically. Digital inputs coming through D2/D3/D4 can be converted to the analogue RGB image of the D-Sub15 pin connectors (= VGA). Also, it is possible to convert from/to 21pin RGB. The VGA outputs a resolution of 640x480, absolutely sufficient for a built in bonus function if used with normal CRT monitors (for LCD monitors the XGA Box is recommended).

The unit comes with it's own power supply (step-down converter recommended for people in Europe and Australia), a remote controller, a component/RGB conversion cable, audio cable and the D-Terminal cable. Additionally there are registration cards, proof of purchase with serial number, and a 60 pages manual in Japanese with usage diagrams. The text written on the unit and the limited on screen display (OSD) of the unit is in English language, and being a AV device in it's nature it is possible to use it without the need to read 60 pages first.
